TactiCon 2014 GM Update August 4

Hello, Pathfinders!




I have returned from vacation and am getting ready for con!  TactiCon 2014 is 4 weeks away and this is our updatel for GMs. One of the area's largest gaming convention is four days long; a total of nine 4-hour 'slots.' Each of those slots will be offering between 8 and 11 tables of Pathfinder Society play. What does this mean? It means we need GMs. Without you guys stepping forward and taking on the task of running games, none of those games will happen.


Below this announcement will be a list of slots to be filled, with scenario numbers, names and tiers.  Some scenarios do not have names yet, but I have been promised that they will be ready by the end of July. Every table you volunteer for gets us closer to our number, and opens up more perks for you.


What perks, you ask? Well, let me enlighten you.


1. Each slot you GM will earn you a free ticket to play during another slot.
2. If you GM 3 slots you will instead get your weekend Convention badge for free.
3. Each slot more than 3 gets a free ticket to play during another slot (so, GM 5 slots and your weekend badge is free, plus you earn two tickets to play).
4. Every GM gets the fear and admiration of tables filled with PFS players.
5. An award ceremony is held Sunday evening after the Con, where all GMs will be presented a bit of free swag (or more, depending on number of tables and 'GM Scores'). This award event hands out a lot of awesome goodies and is not to be missed.
6. All scenarios you run will be placed in your Paizo download files free of charge.
7. You will also receive a racial boon as a thank you for running games.  This is the only way to get a racial boon - we will not be handing them out any other way.


As well, during the month of August, 'slot zero' events will be held at Enchanted Grounds in Highlands Ranch. Please look at the schedule that Jeff has posted to make sure you can get into the table before the con.  Also, I will be scheduling a Bonekeep Level 3 table for those who are running it at the con.  It looks like it will be on a Saturday as well. 
Please check the schedule posted to make sure everything is correct.  I have tried to make sure everyone is signed up for those scenarios they requested; I also signed people up on a first come, first served basis.  I looked at the times of the emails I received and the times of the posts on the board to determine who was scheduled for what.  For those of you that have signed up for the fiesta slots, please email with the scenario you would like to run.
Also, for the badges for the weeekend, I am sending all the names of the GMs to the DGA so they know what you are signed up for and what reward you are due.  If you could please email me the email that you have linked to the DGA and the one you have linked to Paizo, I would appreciate it.  I have to send that all to both organizations to make sure you get your credit and your downloads.  My email is rmpfsjw@gmail.com

So, whose characters (and dreams) will I be crushing during the Bone Keep slot zero? I would like to know so that I can set up appropriate bad guy soliloquies.

I'll also add another game to my GMing slot, I'll GM 5-25, Vengeance at the Sundered Crag, on Friday at 2pm. Also, for my Fiesta Slot on Thursday evening I'm going to run 5-13 Weapon in the Rift

I would like to play the slot zero for Bonekeep 3 but it will likely conflict with our Eyes of the Ten run if it is scheduled for a Saturday.

Any chance of scheduling it for a different time?

I would be willing to crush dreams on a Sunday. Or perhaps a non-PFS Monday.

Jacque do we know if Level 3 is Tier 3-7 or 5-9 yet?  I think I remember reading a post by John Compton somewhere on the Paizo boards that levels 3 and 4 of Bonekeep would be Tier 5-9.

Between GENCON and vacation, my weekends are booked, so a Monday would work best for me for Bonekeep III

Looking at the calendar, the only Monday that would be an option is the 18th. I suspect we cannot get the scenario that early, as Paizo will be at Gencon during that weekend. If you think you can pull some strings, Jacque, then I can make that evening work. But knowing how Paizo works I have my doubts.

Then I will have to pass on it since I will still be on my way home from GENCON on the 18th

The 25th is a PFS day at the shop, so that one is out. So, the 24th becomes the only option if Russ wants to play.

I think we can take this off-list, by the way. I'll talk to Jacque and get her to put together a list of potential players. We will go from there.

Wow, the games are selling out fast on the DGA site already.  Since the game I want to play during the Saturday 2pm timeslot is sold out, please sign me up to GM Bonekeep III for Saturday, 2pm.  Thanks!

Thanks skyshark for alerting us. I just went in to buy my badge anyway (and will request credit at the con) and register for some games. It looks like I'm totally open on Sunday as I don't see all the games available up there yet for registration that show on this thread (like 5-99 and 6-3).
