ROCKY MOUNTAIN PATHFINDER SOCIETY

Welcome to December, Pathfinders!

Looks like we've done all of the tier 1-4's & 3-6's of Season 3. We're moving on to Season 4 now and with a few of you having levels 5+, we'll be including the tier 5+ scenarios as well. I will occasionally offer some of the higher tier season 3 scenarios that we missed throughout the year.

Seats are limited to 6 players and are on a FCFS basis, so sign up in this thread soon!
Games are $3 to play which goes towards a WC gift card for the GM for their time and resources spent prepping the scenario, reporting, and issuing chronicles.

When signing up in this thread, please leave your real first name & last initial! This is very important!
If you do not leave a First name and Last Initial, you won't be guaranteed a seat.
Also posting the PC you will be bringing will be greatly appreciated!

Under each scenario description will be a link posted a day or two before the game to sign up on RPGChronicles. A basic account for RPGC is free.
Also, if you sign up on RPGChronicles first, rather than in this thread, you will be deleted on RPGC and not be allowed at the table.

Sunday, December 3rd, 1-5pm
Season 4 Intro: Year of Boundless Wonder (tier 1-4)
Wonder abounds! The Pathfinder Society's vaults have suddenly recieved a huge treasure trove of precious items from around the world and beyond. Much remains mysterious about these objects, from their origins to the reason the trove's original owner was so desperate to be rid of it. A group of novice agents has the opportunity to explore the troves' wonders for themselves, but not all is as it seems. After being drawn into an otherworldly realm, they must use their wits and fight to escape with their lives!

Intro: Year of Boundless Wonder is the introduction to the plot of the Year of Boundless Wonder. This scenario presents treasures, characters, and themes that will feature in Year 4's metaplot, and so it is a natural starting point for players looking to jump into the action.

#4-04: To Seek the Heart of Calamity (tier 3-6)
The Pathfinder Society recently discovered that a rune-encrusted dagger in its vaults is somehow connected to an ancient weapon buried in the remote deserts of Thuvia. The weapon's precise location is unknown, so the Society dispatches a team of agents to explore the desert, using the dagger to guide the way. Unfortunately, the dagger is one of a matched pair, and the Society's enemies have its twin! Can the agents reach the weapon before their enemies do? What other surprises lay in wait?
This adventure is the first part of the two-part Calamitous Dagger metaplot arc in the Year of Boundless Wonder.

I've run 4-01 so many times. Is it cool for me to play 4-01 for table credit instead of applying it to a character?
I also have 4-04 if you need someone to run last minute.

(I started a subscription in Session 4).

No. If you're playing at a table for credit, the chronicle needs to be applied to a PC. If you're playing at a table for no credit, it's only because the table needs another PC.

Play it for credit then just hang on to the chronicle sheet 'til you start a new first level character.

Do you want to be listed as a "maybe" and play if there's a spot or if we need a player to bring the table to 3 players?

Dave & Liam,

Make sure you make the necessary changes in RPGChronicles to the PCs you want the chronicle for #4-01: Year of Boundless Wonder to go to.

You can apply it to a new PC, or to the current ones, however, Dave, your PC is level 2 now since it has 3 chronicles (12 XP). This chronicle will bring you to 16 XP. Every 12 XP earns you a level.

Liam, you're good applying this chronicle as your first one for Simon the Fighter. The other two from past sessions should be held onto until Simon hits level 3.

Be sure to keep your chronicles with your character sheet & update them before the next game. It's best to update chronicles immediately after each game so you don't forget before the next game. A folder for every 3 or 4 PCs should work fine. There are some scenarios, as well as earning Achievement Points, that will give you a boon or special items on a separate sheet that you'll need to keep with the PC that gained them (Yay! More paperwork!). These are available in the Boon section under your Organized Play account on Paizo.

#4-04: To Seek the Heart of Calamity has been cancelled on the 17th. It will be offered on January 7th. Those that are already signed up are automatically signed up for January's game.
