Hey there! Sorry if this is the wrong post to ask this, but I'm a longtime pf2e player but haven't done any society play before. Would this event be a good place try PFS for the first time? If so I'm very interested!

You're in the right place! What part of town are you? If you can make it to the Wizard's Chest this Sunday, we have a spot for ya. And we'll teach you the basics.

Oops! I just realized this is the thread for an upcoming Convention. Others will pipe in to help you.

There really isn't much different between society and non society play. So yes if you know the rules to 2e then you'll do just fine at this event. If you want a refresher course we play society at enchanted realms (where this event will be held) every Wednesday at 6pm. There are several of us there that could help and we run low level games every week. We also have all the pre-generated characters available if you wanted to try something out before creating your own character. Do you have a society number yet? If not I suggest you sign up for a number on the paizo website.

I can GM one of the PFS special tables if someone drops. I need it for glyphs :)

Could I sign you up to GM one of the non-special tables or the Starfinder table? :-)

If you are in the Colorado Springs area, you can also stop by Enchanted Realms on Wednesday nights at 6 pm and learn. Additionally, Petrie's offers games ever other Saturday, and there is a convention coming up this weekend (GenghisCon in Aurora).

Unfortunately I can only come down that morning. I have plans at 5pm that night.

I'll play the last table, if the module finishes in time, but I'd rather not be put down as the GM because I might not get through the module in time.
