PF2e Crown of The Kobold King mini-campaign interest check!
Posted: Thu Jan 05, 2023 10:01 pm
Greetings, adventurers!!!
Edit as of 5/23: This adventure will be run as a Play by Post game on the Paizo boards. Ignore the references to in-person sessions!
I just received my copy of Crown of the Kobold King (CotKK) and will be putting out a recruitment thread for a PFS2e Sanctioned game within a month or two. This post has a bit of info for those interested in joining. I will choose 5 players depending on their PC submitted to ensure a well-balanced party.
PCs begin at 1st level and will be 6th level at the end.
This adventure will take many sessions to complete. I'm guessing about 20 sessions, which means about a year. So please only sign up if you believe you can make it to almost every session. The adventure is for 4 PCs, but I'm allowing 5 for when a player or two can't make it to a session. Real life stuff happens, so missing a session here & there is okay. There will be some days we'll have off for holidays, bad weather, zombie apocalypse, etc...
This will be played on our usual 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month, 1-5pm.
For those thinking of joining, here are some PC creation guidelines for you to think about:
To make it simple, PCs begin at 1st level using Standard CRB PC creation rules and common (or uncommon if related to your PC) availability.
Only CRB ancestries are allowed, except goblins, and only the Core Rulebook and Advanced Player's Guide material is allowed.
No evil PCs, period!
I might consider material from one other book of your choosing for your PC, but it might be difficult to convince me. For example, I would probably allow a catfolk swashbuckler on the run from the Shackles pirates she swindled and now she is laying low in town, but probably won't allow an automaton inventor hermit living in the tavern cellar. I prefer classic, old-school Sword & Sorcery adventure, so please keep that in mind.
It's best if all PCs are residents of the town of Falcon's Hollow, or are newcomers that have resided there for at least a few months.
Whether or not the PCs begin the adventure already knowing each other is up to the individual players, but having a shared stake in defending your hometown helps to give the events of this adventure a more immediate urgency.
Before I post an official recruitment thread,
I'm sure you have questions, so go ahead and ask!
