GameCon is a recurring convention organized, run, and for school age kids. The RMPFS has supported this event for several years and some of our players were first introduced to gaming at these conventions. This year, the event will be held at Janitell Junior High School, south of the airport.

This year is a rebuilding year for GameCon after a big impact during Covid. I think that the Pathfinder and Starfinder Society can help them recover some of the past excitement these kids found at the game table with a little encouragement. Because this even is meant to introduce children to the hobby, we will be focusing on the short Bounty adventures and some of the introduction adventures for Starfinder which are easy to run and fit well in the fast paced event schedule for GameCon.

Here is the tentative schedule:
EDIT 30 Apr 2022
Morning, 8am-11:30am
Table 1: Pathfinder Bounty #1: The Whitefang Wyrm GM: ?
Table 2: Pathfinder Bounty #2: Blood of the Beautiful GM:?
Table 3: Pathfinder Bounty #3: Shadows and Scarecrows GM: Richard
Table 4: Starfinder Society Quest: Into the Unknown GM: Krysta

Afternoon, 12pm-5pm
Table 1: Pathfinder Bounty #4: Cat's Cradle GM:?
Table 2: Pathfinder Bounty #5: Witch's Winter Holiday GM: Richard
Table 3: Starfinder Bounty #1: The Cantina Job GM: ?
Table 4: Starfinder Bounty #2: Test Flight GM: Krysta

Because this is a school sponsored event, all volunteers, including GMs, must submit a request to volunteer. I will send out a link to the request form to all who volunteer. The school will run a background check on each volunteer. Volunteers, If you haven't signed up at the GameCon website yet, please do so at: https://forms.gle/QE6857Bv263Fo3CG7.

GMs, if you have any suggestions or feedback about the schedule, let me know. Covid hit us all hard and I for one am trying to get back into the swing of Society events.

I can run any of these or all of them. Were you planning on running them consecutively or have a couple run at the same time? They are all about 1 hour in length.

From what Randy was telling me, each GM will be responsible for one bounty/quest at the table. This will be to encourage the kids to go to different tables to try other scenarios and other GMs. Given how short the bounties are, I would recommend for each 4 1/2 hour session someone should plan to run 5 or 6 bounties.

Thanks for the clarification - Sign me up to run:

Morning: Table 3: Pathfinder Bounty #3: Shadows and Scarecrows GM:?
Afternoon: Table 2: Pathfinder Bounty #5: Witch's Winter Holiday GM:?

I would say at least an hour - most bounties consist of a skill challenge, a hazard challenge and a combat encounter.

O.J. is right. We only have 4 tables confirmed for the day, morning and afternoon, and they are trying to rebuild interest in the convention with their target audience.

I am asking GMs to prep and prepare to run the sessions a maybe a few times each to introduce new players and give them a chance to circulate to other GMs and tables for more exposure. I hope this approach will make it easier for our GMs to prepare and give the kids more opportunities to experience various sessions, GMs and adventures.

I am still looking for GMs for this event and I'm short on time to request scenarios. Any volunteers?
