JephCon/Mallicon
Pathfinders...
Starfinders...
A friend of mine who is also the Venture-Captain in the greater Cincinnati area asked me to do a quick signal boost regarding the convention they are holding this weekend. It's called JephCon/Mallicon and is being held to benefit the charity To Write Love On Her Arms whose mission statement is “To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.” While I don't think anyone from the Rocky Mountain Lodge will make it, perhaps you may consider donating a little bit to charity. What really brings this home is that last year, we lost one of our own to this horrible scourge.
A Venture-Agent from Cincinnati by the name of David Setty took his own life and his loss is deeply felt in the Cincinnati lodge. If you would like to take a moment to visit the links I was given and perhaps donate, it would certainly be appreciated.

As I type this announcement, I want to add one more thing. I have been involved in Pathfinder Society for almost 7 years now. For 5 of them, I have been a Venture Officer and I've been privileged to be a Venture-Captain for all of you for 3 of them. I've met many people that I consider to be friends, and the thought of losing any of you to depression and suicide breaks my heart.
If any of you ever start to feel as though the burden you bear is too much and you need someone to talk to or you need help, please reach out to someone. It doesn't have to be me (although I am here if you want to), it doesn't have to be a Venture Officer (although all of us are here if you want to), it can be anyone. Just send a text, type an email, dial the phone. Talk to us.
We will do everything we can to help you and to get you the help that we can. Any loss diminishes us all, and we have many more adventures to go on.
