PFS & SFS at Petries COS

Greetings Fellow Pathfinders/Starfinders,

I am Eric Parker, and I am now accepting GM and player signups for the session at Petrie's Family Games for December 22nd.

IMPORTANT: To sign up please email me directly at Computerpro82@gmail.com <--Clicking this link will cause your email program or smart phone to generate an email directly to me. Simply hitting “reply” to this email (the one generated by the announcement) will NOT get your email to anyone. Alternatively you may post a reply in the thread on RockyMountainPFS.com that was generated by this announcement.

Players at Petrie's are not required to pay to play, but a $2 per player per session (modules count as two sessions) contribution to store credit for the GM is recommended. This should not be considered a barrier to players who can't afford the contribution.

GMs also receive a $5 store credit for running a successful game. This will be given per session, and it is only given for a scheduled, publically accessible store event (no pick up games, no private sessions.)

We are accepting GM volunteers, but have a standby if no one steps up. If you want to sign up to GM or play, just let me know by replying to this thread or emailing me at computerpro82@gmail.com. Anyone who wants to GM any future games can also contact me.

All games are being offered as CORE, but if a majority of the players reply by midnight Wednesday that they would prefer regular PFS, we will switch the games to regular PFS.

I'm interested in playing Saturday. Not too sure what CORE means, however. If someone could clue me in.

Hi Megan,
CORE is a special kind of PFS character, created using only the rules and options from the Core Rulebook, The Guild Guide, The Character Traits Web Enhancement, and no other sources allowed. It is described on page 8 of the PFS Guild Guide for Season 10.

Adding on to Eric's comments, another great thing about Core play is that it creates replayability for all of the adventures. That is to say, if you've already played an adventure in standard PFS play, you generally can't play it again unless you burn GM stars or some such thing. However, you can replay all of the scenarios in Core since it's consider a separate campaign. You just can't play your Core character in non-Core games or they lose their Core status.

The reason, wrote:Yes please for both Confirmation and First Steps! I've been wanting to get my Core character started up and haven't had a chance to play her.

Hi RC,
AS far as I know, the event is still on. Sean has volunteered to GM, and I can fill out the table for the first session to make it legal. The second session may not happen unless we got some additional RSVPs or walk-ins.
