October is at hand and with it longer nights, ghosts, and goblins! No wait, goblins were back in August. Silly me.

This month I have scheduled five, that's right, five events each week! I have done this in part to ease the congestion at some tables and in part because there are so many great themed scenarios and modules for a month dedicated to spooks, horrors, and otherworldly haunts! I am going to ask about staying open a little later on Halloween to make extra time for the Modules I have scheduled, but we'll have to see what the shop says.

Pathfinder 2nd Edition Playtesters: To the GMs and players at these events, thank you for your efforts to work out the bugs in the system. I have seen more feedback from Paizo about the playtest than I have for other products in a very long time. Your efforts are appreciated and noticed; thank you. I have not forgotten you on the schedule. As GM slots are taken I may reschedule events, specifically, I may add additional playtest events if there are no GMs for normal events. I realize the playtest is a new and changing game environment, but if there are any additional GMs willing to step up and run a playtest table, I will make room for it, guaranteed.

As always, without our fantastic GMs, there would be no Society play at all. Thank you all!

As always, I tried to fit in as many requests and accommodations as possible, so if you'd like to see a change, let me know.

Pathfinder 2nd Edition scenario 2 (PF2-02) Doomsday Dawn Part 4: The Mirrored Moon Tier 9 GM: Richard
In 4718, a rare planetary conjunction, in combination with the power of ancient artifacts erected in the desert kingdom of Osirion thousands of years ago, will create a massive portal between Golarion and the hostile planet of Aucturn, at the far edge of the solar system. If this portal appears, it will allow the ravenous aliens of the Dominion of the Black to harvest brains from the peoples of the Inner Sea region on a devastating scale and provide an opportunity for a nascent entity of great power awakening from eons-long gestation to feast upon the world of Golarion. Fortunately, hints of this imminent apocalypse have emerged from the sands of time over the past decade, affording a desperate chance to avert this doom. These hints and clues have become known as the Aucturn Enigma, and unless multiple groups of heroes rise to the challenge of opposing this catastrophe, it could destroy one world forever while simultaneously creating another.

02-15 Shades of Ice Pt.1: Written in Blood Tier 1-5 GM: R.C.
When the Decemvirate sends the PCs to the Viking city of Trollheim in the frigid northern Lands of the Linnorm Kings to deliver a package to an allied scholar there, the Pathfinders soon find themselves unwelcome visitors. Forced to navigate the rugged, isolated city and interact with the standoffish natives, can they deliver their cargo to its target, or will they find themselves exiled from the city... or worse?

06-06 Hall of the Flesh Eaters Tier 1-5 GM: Austin
Shrouded in thick fog, the shifting Gloomspires north of the Shackles have long frustrated explorers. However, a recent discovery by the Pathfinder Society has revealed a brief opportunity to navigate the columns safely and search for the lost treasure of the legendary pirate Sevenfingers. The only problem is that the Pathfinders are not the only visitors to the Gloomspires.

Module The House on Hook Street: Spiders and Flies Tier 5-7 GM: Bill
In Old Korvosa, nightmare-spawned horrors begin stalking the district's shiver addicts, sparking a manhunt to bring those responsible to justice. What role does the strange cult known as the Brotherhood of the Spider play in the mysterious deaths, and why is the veil between the dreaming and waking worlds so thin? To solve these mysteries and others, the heroes must walk the unseen paths of Bridgefront's occult underworld, and even enter the Dimension of Dreams itself to unravel the web of intrigue concealing the cult's deadly machinations. But what will happen when the heroes' own dreams turn against them, and what becomes of those who uncover esoteric secrets too terrible to know? Beset by dangers from their own minds, the heroes must race against time to save Korvosa-and their sanity.

SFS 01-18 The Blackmoon Survey Tier 1-4 GM: Jim H
Eox's Blackmoon region contains countless forgotten Eoxian ruins, leftovers from an apocalyptic assault on the planet. Few are allowed to dig up these sites, yet the Starfinder Society and undead bone sages maintain a joint academic venture known as the Blackmoon Excavation. When Starfinder archaeologists and undead workers begin disappearing from the site the Society sends in a team of agents to uncover why-a secret that resides in the nearby ruins!

00-05 Mists of Mwangi Tier 1-5 GM: James
Pathfinder Lugizar Trantos recently returned from the Mwangi Expanse with haunted eyes and a pack full of strange idols. Absalom's famed Blakros Museum purchased his pieces and Lugizar vanished. The strange monkey idols he pulled from the misty jungles of Mwangi carry with them a fell curse, and now their power has laid claim to the museum. Can the Pathfinder Society uncover the source of the curse in time, or will the Blackros Museum be forever lost to the mists of Mwangi?

02-17 Shades of Ice Pt.2: Exiles of Winter Tier 1-5 GM: R.C.
Following the trail of the insidious Shadow Lodge from Trollheim to the icebound city of Whitethrone in the witch-ruled nation of Irrisen, the PCs must locate the hidden lodge of their contact's kidnapper. Can they get past the city's defenses, infiltrate the Shadow Lodge headquarters and rescue the Pathfinder Society's valuable ally, or will they-like so many before them-find their bones ground to make Baba Yaga's bread?

07-19 Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts Tier 3-7 GM: Austin
Following a successful mission into the mist-shrouded and shifting Gloomspires, the Pathfinder Society sent another team to explore the tomb of the legendary pirate Sevenfingers. Unfortunately, this team never returned. The spires have momentarily halted, allowing a new team to brave the tomb's many dangers, hopefully rescuing their allies in the process.

09-11 The Jarlsblood Witch Saga Tier 5-9 GM: Brian
The Lands of the Linnorm Kings derive its name from its leaders, each of who can rule after slaying one of the massive, draconic linnorms that inhabit the region. Centuries ago, when a warrior set out to slay a dragon of her own and carve out a kingdom, she returned not with a linnorm's head but that of the local linnorm king. The lone witness insisted she had used ice magic and Irriseni witchcraft to kill the king, an accusation that led to the warrior's execution. It's said that even today, the so-called Jarlsblood Witch prowls the land and snatches up lone travelers.
Not all believe these tales, most notably the warrior's descendants. One serves as a member of Taldor's Ulfen Guard and has contacted the Society to make a deal: exonerate his defamed ancestor in exchange for intelligence that could shape Taldor's future and avert a disaster. It's up to the PCs to embark into the frozen Lands of the Linnorm Kings to solve an ancient murder mystery, though there's far more at stake than honor.
Contents in The Jarlsblood Witch Saga also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Sovereign Court faction. This is one of several scenarios that also set the stage for and directly tie into the upcoming War for the Crown Adventure Path.

02-19 Shades of Ice Pt.3: Keep of the Huscarl King Tier 1-5 GM: R.C.
Information in the Shadow Lodge headquarters in Whitethrone leads you into the Realm of the Mammoth Lords in search of an abandoned tower of a lost Ulfen king. The powerful weapon rumored to be there could be disastrous if it falls into the hands of those who plot the Pathfinder Society's destruction; who will find it first?

10-04 Reavers Roar Tier 7-11 GM: O.J.
A call from some of the Pathfinder Society's most esteemed leaders brings the PCs to a small town in Lastwall. While their mission to retrieve a relic of the Shining Crusade from a cathedral guarded by a fearsome beast seems straightforward-if extremely hazardous-interested parties from the nearby orc nation of Belkzen and beyond have their own plans that may not alight with the PCs own. Will the Pathfinders survive the deadly onslaught of a territorial guardian, or will they play into the hands of even more sinister forces?

08-15 Hrethnar's Throne Tier 5-9 GM: Austin
The mist-shrouded Gloomspires have defied local seafarers and treasure hunters for centuries, but Venture-Captain Calisro Benarry has nearly unlocked the secrets of the spire where the dread pirate Sevenfingers hid his treasure. Great prizes beget jealous rivals, though, and the PCs must be prepared to fend off all others who desire Sevenfingers's riches-rivals both past and present.

PF2-03 Arclord's Envy Tier 5 GM: ?
Among the greatest archmages in Golarion's history is Nex, who created an arcane kingdom that shares his name and survives to this day. Although the archmage disappeared under mysterious circumstances millennia ago, his disciples the Arclords have continued his vision-at least what they can piece together from his surviving writings. The capital of Quantium's now abuzz with the news that another of Nex's texts has resurfaced, and already the owner has died under suspicious circumstances. Hoping to avert a political predicament as various arclords fight to inherit the text, the local authorities have hired the Pathfinder Society to untangle the situation as independent investigators.

Pathfinder 2nd Edition scenario 2 (PF2-02) Raiders of the Shrieking Peak Tier 5 GM: ?
Although most of the Society's discoveries come from distant lands and enter through Absalom's harbor, some of the greatest discoveries appear in the metropolis's backyard. When an extraordinary relic surfaces in the nearby town of Diobel, the Pathfinder Society dispatches an agent to recover and transport it back to the Grand Lodge. That strategy fell through when the agent disappeared along the road to Diobel. The Pathfinders must learn what befell their comrade and recover the shipment-a task that will take them into the dangerous wilds of the island's interior.

00-01 Silent Tide Tier 1-5 GM: ?
When strange reports of misty undead spread through Absalom, you and your fellow Pathfinders are dispatched to the half-drowned district of Puddles. Notoriously rough, the drooling addicts, flesh panderers, and quick-handed knifers of Puddles are the least of your worries. The night's tide brings with it an ancient armada of some long-forgotten war and you are the only thing between their mist-shrouded ghost fleet and Absalom's utter oblivion.

00-06 Black Waters Tier 1-5 GM: Owen
The Pathfinder Society seeks the ancient ruby ring of the salamander and it falls to a team of Pathfinders to find it. Last seen in the Tri-Towers Yard, a once elite academy for the youth of Absalom, the ruby ring is now lost in the Drownyard, all that remains of Tri-Towers after it was destroyed a decade ago in the great quake. The Pathfinders must risk the strange black ichors and salty brine to find their prize-will they risk their very souls as well?

01-38 No Plunder, No Pay Tier 7-11 GM: ?
The famed Chelish pirate, Captain Caradoc Alazario, infamous nephew of the mayor of Egorian and the brazen enemy of Her Majestrix's Navy, has finally been caught. Unfortunately for you, he was caught after stealing a fiendish artifact of twisted origins bound for the Grand Lodge in Absalom and is the only one who knows where that artifact came to rest off the coast of the forever rain-drenched Sodden Lands. You are charged by the Pathfinder Society to break Captain Alazario out of prison and use him to guide you to the lost artifact. Prison, pirates, and horrors of the deep await you in a land where an honest day's wage never comes honestly.

06-18 From Under Ice Tier 1-5 GM: ?
Rumors of an ancient settlement and its priceless treasure locked beneath Irrisen's perpetual ice have reached the Society's ears. The Pathfinders set out to the Land of the Linnorm Kings with a precious cargo of trade goods to buy their way into the witch-ruled nation, but even approaching Irrisen is fraught with danger. Can the PCs navigate the frozen wastes and recover the relics within, or will the icy climate claim their lives?

SFS 01-20 Duskmire Accord 9 Tier 1-4 GM: Jim H
A vault opens inside the mysterious false moon of Salvation's End, and the Starfinder Society sends in a team of agents to investigate. Although it has discerned little about the vault's interior, the Society has identified a powerful energy signature near the vault's center. Several factions within the vault clash for control of the area. If the PCs are to succeed at their mission, they'll need to choose a side.

03-05 Tide of Twilight Tier 1-5 GM: ?
In researching a recently recovered druidic lorestone, the Pathfinder Society learns of a powerful artifact with the power to turn men into bestial abominations. Amid claims of increased werewolf activity in the region, the PCs travel into the heart of the Verduran Forest to retrieve the valuable relic from a cabal of evil druids believed to currently hold it.

07-05 School of Spirits Tier 1-5 GM: Owen
Seven years ago, Pathfinders entered Absalom's shattered Precipice Quarter in pursuit of a ruby ring but also rescued a strange survivor. She has since grown to adulthood and exhibited a rebellious spirit connected to the ruined school where the Pathfinders found her. The woman's family has contacted the Society, hoping that its agents can escort her back to the haunted site and unravel the Drownyard's relentless mysteries.

09-04 The Unseen Inclusion Tier 1-5 GM: O.J.
The Thuvian city of Merab has grown steadily over the past decade, and construction teams have uncovered numerous foundations and features dating back to Ancient Osirion and the Tekritanin League as they break ground for new buildings. Recently, workers accidentally unsealed a haunted ruin, out of which screamed a terrifying apparition. The Society has sent the PCs to investigate, not only to learn about the newly discovered ruin, but also to put this angry spirit to rest. In the process, the Pathfinders will uncover more than part of Thuvia's past; they'll unravel a dire secret that even now threatens one of the Society's closest allies.

The strange city of Carrion Hill has long loomed over the surrounding swamps in eastern Ustalav, yet its rulers have shifted many times through the centuries. Often enough that only a few sinister scholars and curious minds know the true nature of the hill's original inhabitants-vile and depraved cultists of the Old Gods. Yet this morning, a dreadful recrudescence rises from the depths of buried nightmare in the vaults below Carrion Hill. A monster stalks the twisted alleys of the city, spreading panic before it and leaving destruction in its wake. Can the Carrion Hill Horror be stopped?

Sure, go for it. I"ll play it then.

Also Randy, Raiders of the Shrieking Peak is a scenario, so it shouldn't need a part 2, so I can run it both nights for different groups or if there is a GM who wants to try their hand at the PT scenerio, I'll play it.

However there is a good chance that we will need a second night for the Doomsday Dawn section we are starting tomorrow and it looks like Oct 17 is the day. I also want to start Doomsday Dawn part 3 on Oct 24 - its called Sombrefell Hall and we'll need a second night the first or second week of November. The playtest window is getting shorter so we may want to skip a couple of sections to get us caught up.

Good to know. I will swap some things on the schedule to add more of those sessions... more to follow.

Ok. I dropped Doomsday Dawn part 3 from the schedule and replaced it with part 4 to try and catch up with the playtest schedule Paizo has established. Obviously I need to read up on the second edition and try to GM and event or two so I can address some of the schedule gaps...

Ok. I dropped Doomsday Dawn part 3 from the schedule and replaced it with part 4 to try and catch up with the playtest schedule Paizo has established. Obviously I need to read up on the second edition and try to GM and event or two so I can address some of the schedule gaps...
that works, at least from my end. We can pick things up after the PT if people wish. So the playtest for October will be "Hero's of the Mirrored Moon.

Go ahead and put Austin in the run Hrethnar's Throne on that day... I would love to run 10-04 Reavers Roar on that week instead of Scars of the Last Crusade (for some reason, I thought that School of Spirits was that week...) I think that would be more in theme for Halloween, and allow for at least one current season scenario to be run this month!

(Although, I still think Austin should agree to run 06-06 Hall of the Flesh Eaters Tier 1-5 or 07-19 Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts Tier 3-7 during the previous week... *wink, wink*)

I would like to sign up to play the following games please:

1. On 10/3 play SFS 01-18 The Blackmoon Survey tier 1-4.
2. On 10/17 play PFS 10-04 Reavers Roar tier 7-11.
3. On 10/24 play SFS 01-20 Duskmire Accord tier 1-4.
4. On 10/31 play PFS 09-04 The Unseen Inclusion tier 1-4.

I would like to run the following game please.

1. 10/10 PFS 00-05 Mists Of Mwangi tier 1-5.
