Wow! Genie-kin (sylphs, undines, ifrits, & oreads) always available for season 8!

I'm really excited about Starfinder. Too bad it's a year away.

Season 8 sounds like it's going to be awesome!

I'll be curious to see if the addition of the genie-kin will mean the removal of the always-available status for wayangs, kitsune, nagaji, and tengu since those ones appeared once the aasimar and tiefling went the way of boon-only.  It does sadden me, slightly, that the race boons they have been giving away for GMing things are now becoming available to everyone, and therefore, losing their value.  Ah well.  It's a cool bonus for those who don't GM or don't do cons.

Yeah, I ran my sylph psychic through an evergreen scenario a few months ago to get it in the records. I'm interested in playing a tengu so now I need to get one played in case they're dropped for season 8. I still have an ifrit boon. Yeah, tis a shame the boons will be pointless.

Not necessarily...  There is still the Elemental Dilettante portion of the boon which, if you can get all four of the boons, let's you play a Suli...

Looks like no races will be retired for season 8. Hooray!

That is why you should use those boons when you get them instead of hoarding them. Think of them more as "early access". For several years now they have taken the race boons for big cons (GenCon, PaizoCon) then made them Regular GM boons and then made them open access. Same thing happened with Naga/Wayang/Tengu boons.

Well in that case, they are not pointless - they will remain just as valid as they are today. Suli arent becoming always available.  If you ever feel like you have too many "pointless" race boons, I am sure there are still some xenophobe boons floating around out there.
