Hey Tim,
I just want to clarify. You are already signed up for a Noon to 4:00 pm game. By "afternoon slot" did you mean the 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm game (City of Strangers II)?

Either a Ranger-8 or Rogue-10.
Thanks very much.

Hi Martin,
You are at Portal of the Sacred Rune.
Everyone,
That gives us 5 players for Portal of the Sacred Rune, leaving 1 open seat. We also have 3 open seats for Master of the Fallen Fortress.

Meaning that Master of the Fallen Fortress is not yet at the minimum table size to execute the module...

The table can be run with 3 players and a pregen as an NPC if we do not get another signup.

I would rather re-schedule it than run it with only 3 people. It will only be my second time game-mastering.

It's easier to GM with 3 players than it is with 5 or 6. If you only have 3 players get the players to run a PFS pre-gen and so there is no additional load on you - 3 players with 4 PCs, really no different than 4 players - in fact a little bit easier on the GM as there are only 3 players competing for the GM's attention.

Oh, I thought I had to run the NPC.
Well, one of the guys is listed as 'tentative' so I want to manage expectations here. It's a Free RPG day module, and as such is for 1st level characters ONLY, and it will only award 1 Prestige maximum.
I'd love to run it though.

If you're running it, I'm playing it!
I originally set down as tentative to allow more players who would want to play an opportunity to join the table over me, but I am happy to round it out for you!
Either a Sorc or a Cleric...

The PFS guide does loosely say that the GM runs the NPC, but in practice most GMs hand out a pregen sheet to the players and they run the pregen. If the players are using the pregen in an uncharacteristic way (e.g. sending Ezren the 1st level wizard into a room full of zombies first) then you could step in and make Ezren's actions a bit more in line with the character, but let the players do all of the dice rolling etc..
I'll be playing at the other table on Saturday and I have all of the PFS pregens printed out and ready to go, so the players will have a wide choice of which pregen to use.

Cool. That was my next question - should I print them out or will someone else have them.

As the coordinator, I always have them on hand as well.
The only paperwork you need to bring as the GM is chronicles for the players.
