Players: Please sign up for the games that interest you, even if there is no GM posted. I will do my best to ensure that popular games, i.e. games with enough players, have a GM .

GMs and potential GMs: Please step up and volunteer. If there are no requests for the month, I am doing what I can to ensure that there are games scheduled that appeal to a wide audience. Consider these points:

1. If a game has multiple players but no GM, you can be relatively sure that the game will go off so there will be no more prepping a game that fails to launch.
2. If you cannot play games because you have already played them, consider volunteering to run it.
3. I schedule low level games for new players and for new GMs so you can cut your teeth on an easier scenario instead of tackling the high level events right away.
4. Players are supposed to give the GM $2 as a player ante when they play. This helps defer the cost of buying the scenario. When there are at least 3 players (minimum table size) the cost for most scenarios is covered!
5. There are a wealth of "professional" GMs in Society Play. GMs who have years, and dare I say some of us have DECADES of experience running events. We have made mistakes, we have great stories of players and events, and we can share our experiences to help you run a better game!
6. Our players are some of the most kind and understanding folks you will find at a table. I have no doubt that they will help you out as much as possible when you are the GM. Try finding that level of understanding at GENCON or any huge convention...

Organized Society Play depends on volunteers at all levels. From players and GMs to the Venture Agents, Venture Lieutenants, Venture Captains, and Regional Venture Coordinators, we are all volunteers who do this for the love of the game. Please consider stepping up and volunteering to help our beloved hobby grow!
