No.
I repeat: No Core games will be run at Enchanted Grounds - Highlands Ranch. Please do not alter my rules. You won't like the results.

I know you must have your reasons/method to your madness, but consider at least this customer sad-faced by your policy.Drogon wrote: No.

There will be opportunity. See above.
Also, I've decided that the Learn to Play will exclusively be Core from now on (meaning the "no Core games" statement just before this was maybe a bit too final a statement - sorry).

Re: PFS Core Rules only campaign mode!
The Pathfinder Unchained book! That's what I heard about. After reading the 800+ posts on the thread about it, I'm quite excited to see this book.cdragos wrote: Speaking of core rules, I keep seeing people make references to a new version of the Core Rulebook. Anyone know when it's coming out? My current one is old and falling apart.

Re: PFS Core Rules only campaign mode!
It'll be interesting to see how Unchained will blend with the current PFS campaign. It's market as a "rules expansion/optional" but the description does read like some form of Pathfinder 2.0, especially with the "updated and re-balanced" classes. Do I sense a nerfing of the Summoner? There are plenty of things in the current game that need to be fixed, though, so I'm sure it'll be a required book at some point. Wonder how the "updated" classes will fit into the Core campaign, since they appear to be the Core rulebook classes anyway.
Anyway, time will tell. Looking forward to seeing this.

My theory is that it's going to be largely hands-off for society play. Kind of like the Mythic Adventures book which only had material that could be used in society play in three scenarios...mmcconnell wrote: It'll be interesting to see how Unchained will blend with the current PFS campaign. Re: PFS Core Rules only campaign mode!
Pretty much.
It's IMO inconceivable that PFS will allow the functionality of Unchained. Doing things like rebuilding class abilities is going to be impossible to police for balance. A good example is the ARG- PFS doesn't even entertain the notions of building one's own race. I can't see them allowing you to build your own class, either.

Re: PFS Core Rules only campaign mode!
They won't allow everything, no. But I can see a possibility for say, the new versions of classes, depending on how they look. Essentially they would have to allow for everyone in the campaign to rebuild the changed classes, and allow for only the "updates" versions. But that's assuming they are complete rebuilds instead of variants.
But that's just me. I personally don't want MORE rules and options..I'm drowning in them as it is

I do hope the let us use the "fixes" for rogues and barbarians in PFS, though. It's much needed.

Re: PFS Core Rules only campaign mode!
They might allow both versions of the updated classes but that seems potentially confusing. They are not going to replace the core rulebook classes with the unchained version. Not will the recent announcement of the Core Campaign. Just my opinion, of course, the VOs don't have any advanced knowledge on this one.

I wonder if there will be new feats, spells, and items in it that will be PFS legal.
