Announcing Con on the Range January 23-25, 2015. Call for GMs! UPDATED 01/04/14

Post by Jacque » Fri Dec 26, 2014 12:54 pm

Hello Pathfinders!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to a great 2015!

As you all know, there are big changes in the Rocky Mountain Region in 2015, most notably that we are looking at organizing our own large weekend event.  After spending the last few weeks putting together a plan, I am happy to announce the first Con on the Range!
Con on the Range is scheduled for the weekend of January 23-25, 2015 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Highlands Ranch.  We will be running our usual slate of games for the weekend but with a few differences; I'm excited to get your feedback on the small changes I've made in the schedule.  We have also invited both the 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons and Savage Worlds Organized Play groups to participate for the weekend so you will have the opportunity to play a myriad of games.

Before we get to the list of games, I want to let you know what you will get for helping out over the weekend.

-  Each GM will receive a racial boon for the weekend
-  If you GM 3 slots for the weekend, you will receive free    entry into the con.
NEW! If you GM 1 slot for the weekend, you will receive 30% off your weekend badge
NEW! If you GM 2 slots for the weekend, you will receive 60% off your weekend badge
-  GMs will receive priority seating at tables they wish to play at during the weekend.

Some basic notes about the schedule

-  I have scheduled two high level modules over 5 slots for the weekend.  If you sign up to GM the modules (Academy of Secrets and The Moonscar), please be aware that you have to be available over all 5 slots.
-  Plunder and Peril is a new three part module that is sanctioned for PFS.  You do not need to play the parts in order.
-  You will see I have listed the Silverhex Chronicles which is a short series of 1hr encounters that string together.  The Silverhex Chronicles will be run in two parts.  Encounters 1-3 will be run in one slot and 4-6 will be run in another.
-  I have also scheduled Paizo's GM 101 and GM 201 training sessions.  I have the material for the training sessions and am looking for people to run those sessions.
-  I have also scheduled one final series of Ruins of Bonekeep.  Run the Gauntlet one last time
-  I have also scheduled a couple of tables of Kobolds Ate My Baby.  It's a quick RPG, I have the materials for that game as well.

Thanks so much for helping out and for being patient as we venture into this new territory!

So without further ado our call for GMs!

This list is updated as of December 30th.  Thanks to all who have volunteered.  If you are interested in volunteering to run, please respond to this post or to me by email at rmpfsjw@gmail.com Thanks!

I'll be happy to run the Silverhex Chronicles (both sessions) on Saturday.  I ran them for a con we had down here in the Springs, so I feel pretty solid on them.

Jacque,
I would like to do Silverhex or Wounded Wisp on Friday 4-6pm, Slave Master's mirror on Sat 2-6 or 7-11pm, and any one of those three on Sunday 2-6pm.

Will there be a hotel room discount offered?

So Excited!

Nice! Very happy that we are getting our own Con outside of the DGA.

I can run two modules, I'll leave which ones up to you (Bonekeep 1 and 2 perhaps?) but I'd like to play Academy of Secrets, so I wouldn't be able to run during those slots.

This is awesome!

Jacque,

I will happily GM either Wounded Wisp for all three slots on Saturday or Slave Master's Mirror for the first two on Saturday and Bonekeep 3 that evening. Either way, let me know. :-)

Hello Jacque,

I would very much like to GM either the Academy of Secrets or The Moonscar. Whichever one someone does not sign up for.

Jacque, I sent you an e-mail in regards to slots of interest for GM'ing.

Basically, I can GM:
6-10: Wounded Wisp on Friday from 9A-1P.
40: Hall of Drunken Heroes on Friday from 7P-11P.

I'm interested in doing the Silverhex Chronicles on both Sunday slots if there's any way I can borrow the flipmats.

Thanks!

I would be happy to GM Wounded Wisp on any of those days (any three slots you need) that aren't being occupied.

The updated GM list will be posted above momentarily.  Thanks to everyone who has offered to run for the weekend.  I really appreciate it.

We are offering a hotel discount for the weekend.  I will post the discount code and information about the discount as soon as I receive it - tomorrow at the latest.

If no one volunteers for Bonekeep level 3 for Saturday, I can do that one as well since I'll already have it prepped from the previous evening. Just let me know. Don't want to go hoggin' all the Bonekeep.

Hey Jacque,
Put me down to run Kobold's Ate My Baby on both Friday and Saturday Nights. I am going to run an adventure I am calling "The Giant's Pantry".

I think will have to work Friday, but I can run the HQ table on either Saturday or Sunday. Put me down to GM one Slot on the other day.

I suppose I could run Moonscar. I assume this is for a PFS legal high level table.

That is a good question! I don't know how many people have that high of a level character. Perhaps it would be run in "campaign mode" with non-PFS characters and then held/applied to a legal character? Or even just for fun?
