CollectorMania June 28th Saturday Game Day - (Parker)
Re: CollectorMania June 28th Saturday Game Day - (Parker)
Actually, can you cancel my spot on Tide of Morning? Brazil is playing Chile on the World Cup, so I won't be able to make it in time...
I'll be there for Wardstone Patrol, of course.

You are choosing Sportsball over Pathfinder? I don't understand....

I only do that once every four years... :-)

Unless anyone has a vested interest in talking me OUT of it,
I will bring my highest level character (ever!) to Wardstone Patrol on Saturday,
a 4th level fighter,
so don't expect exemplary heroics from him, given it seems the table will be high-tier.

Level 4-fighter

I'm bringing all my characters for Fabric, they range from 5-8, anyone have an idea on what they are bringing?
Are we going low or high or somewhere in-between?
Again - the 8's are Oracle(Life), Sorcerer, and Ranger/Monk(Rogue build)

My name is Frank Nosal and I have just recently registered with you under the username of anosal. Aidan is my son (10 years old) and is the one who wants to play this Saturday at the begginers table (Table #2 - #23 Tides of Morning). Aidan and I have played the Begginer Box scenario and currently playing one other minor quest (Deadly Mine). He has a level 2 fighter and a level 1 wizard.
Couple of questions for you:
1) Is Aidan old enough to play with you all this Saturday?
2) Can he use one of his current characters or should he role a new one with you on Saturday.
3) We registered with the main Pathfinder Society account and were asked to create a character. Do we need to do this?
Please let me know your thoughts and hopefully all can be worked out.
Thanks,
Frank Nosal

Hi Frank,
I am not in charge of anything at Collectormania but I do play there with my son who started playing with the guys there when he was 10. I would say that if he were going to play, you should be willing to sit down at the table and play along with him.
He will need to make a new character as characters from home games cant be transferred to PFS play.
It would be best to register the character before the game. That way the GM can apply the credit to him online at anytime.
If you do not have time to create a character you can play a pre generated character and apply the credit for this session when you do make your own.
Overall I think PFS is great for kids. I have had a lot of fun playing with my son at Collectormania. Everyone there has been very supportive of younger players.

Hi Frank,
Welcome to both you and Aiden to Pathfinder Society.
As Tim says 10 years old should be fine, especially if you were to play with Aidan.
Pathfinder Society Organized Play characters have to follow certain rules and must begin at 1st level. You can download those rules for free here. Or if you do not want to or have time to make a character before the game you can use a pregenerated character for the first few times.
To register a character on the main Paizo site all you need to enter is the name and pick a faction. You do not need to enter any other details.
Come on down, the GM and players will help you learn to play.

I can play either a 5 Wizard, Chrillan, The Charred, or a 8 Saurian Druid.
Re: CollectorMania June 28th Saturday Game Day - (Parker)
Thanks Tim and Russ, we will create our character online. Looking forward to Saturday!
Re: CollectorMania June 28th Saturday Game Day - (Parker)
Just to be clear, you can each have your own character, unless you would prefer just to play along and help your son. Either way would be fine I think.

Russ, I regret to inform you that my bosses are a bunch of ogres and I must work tomorrow. At least you'll have a full table.
Good gaming!
