Hi,

I'm fairly new to the area and looking for a group to join. I play and GM a lot of PF1 and have dabbled in PF2. Due to family commitments I'd only be able to play 2 weeks in row out of the of the month. If all of that is good, I'd love to join in on the 15th.

Thanks,

Curtis

Hey, Curtis! Happy to have you! Pathfinder Society is an episodic organized play game, where we have a shared set of rules at https://organizedplayfoundation.org/Lor ... nized-Play and you can take your character to any table around the world.

Should have some special Pathfinder Society d6s for you next week! And hit me up if you have any questions.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to it.

I'll take a look at the PFS rules and work up a character this weekend. Is there any role in particular that the party needs to fill. I've played and am willing to play pretty much anything.

Thanks!

Curtis

You get a pretty solid mix each time. And it changes table to table. So just focus on building what you think will be a fun character.

Just FYI both Leshy and Kobold ancestries are legal for all players in addition to the other core rulebook ones. So if you'd like to play a small plant or a small dragon, you totally can.

Welcome aboard, Curtis!

Pathfinder Society play is a lot like a bunch of random one shot adventures. Some of them are two shots or linked together in some way (aka "an arc"). Almost every table you will play at will not have the same characters and/or players as the one you previously played. Don't think of it as a home game campaign where all the players and characters are the same doing the same adventures -it's nothing like that.

A good idea is to create 2 or 3 PCs of different classes & factions. When you show up to a table you'll have a choice of which one of those PCs will best fit the party. Also, many scenarios are faction specific. You'll get a special boon or bonus Achievement Points for playing a PC pertaining to that faction. As you can see above, the Scenario has the tag: Verdant Wheel. I'll be bringing my Lizardfolk druid of the Verdant Wheel faction.

After playing a PC the first few times, you can do a complete rebuild of anything to your liking. However, once the PC reaches level 2, they're "locked in" and can't be rebuilt unless you purchase the Rebuild boon with Achievement Points.

If you have any questions regarding PC creation or anything else, feel free to email me at cjdragos at gmail dot com.
