August 2019 at The Wizard's Chest

Greetings, Pathfinders!

It is August and that means a new era for The Pathfinder Society. Yes, Second Edition is here! As you may have heard, The Wizard's Chest is hosting a weekend long event called Pop-Up GenCon.
On Sunday, August 4th the entire day will be filled with PF 2e one-shot demos & quests from 10am to 12:30pm and the PFS 2e debut scenario from 1pm to 5pm.

Since this is a Special Event with many walk-ins already expressing interest, to sign up you will need to call The Wizard's Chest at 303-321-4304 between 10am and 5pm and ask to be put on the sign up sheet at the games counter in the store.

The Guide to Organized Play for PFS 2e will be released on Monday, August 29th.

You may post in this thread to let us know if you are coming down, at what time, and what you'd like to play. We will try our best to guarantee you a spot.

A new era is beginning for the Pathfinder Society, with new recruits and new factions all excited to build connections and embark on grand adventures. The PCs are among these recruits invited to attend a welcoming party where they can meet both the old guard as well as the up-and-coming leaders. But the party's not all talk; the PCs learn of four exciting escapades in Absalom, through which they can kick off their adventuring careers!

#1-02 #1-02: The Mosquito Witch (tier 1-4)

Decades ago, witnesses reported a fearsome cryptid outside of the quiet River Kingdoms town of Shimmerford. Dubbed the Mosquito Witch, it was rarely seen since and quickly became a beloved local legend that the town celebrates and promotes to attract visitors. But when recent attacks began savaging livestock and townsfolk alike, many have started believing the Mosquito Witch was real all along. The PCs travel to Shimmerford to unravel the cryptid mystery, but might they just become the witch's next victim?

Another thing to note about August 4th, we will be running a replayable quest and PF2 demo (each take about 1 hour) from 10am until 1pm, so feel free to come to those as well!

The demo does not give PFS credit, the quest does give a chronicle.

Do we create PF 2E characters online for the 1-5p event, or at The Wizard's Chest?

Make sure to read the guide to Org Play first which will be available on Monday. It will contain the character creation rules and other things to know about org play. Create a PC or three if you want to or just use one of the official pregenerated characters that we will have on hand to lend out.

Looks like we have 5 players confirmed so far. Not sure how many "interested" from FB will show. Last I saw there were 12.

Awesome, Doug! I'm happy you can join us! We'll probably do mustering for the 1pm tables right before the games. We'll split the tables into equal groups.

Have you made any PCs yet? I've got a goblin bard and am still working on a human or elf champion.

I have 3 ready to go. Human Wizard/Transmuter, Half-Elf Champion/Palidan, and a human Cleric/Warpriest. All 3 are registered in Organized Play. 4th one is an elf Bard/Enigma but Herolabs has some issues with the elf ancestry,
