While a healer would be nice, I don't want to pressure someone who wants to play in the adventure into a character type that they may not want to play. We can look at other options. For now, I believe we're looking for someone who is interested in playing in the campaign and is willing to make the commitment. (And it has been a lot of fun so far...)

Ok, confession time. As the meat-wall of the party I kinda wanted a heal battery to stay in the fight :D You're absolutely right though, any allowed class/race/theme combo will work. It's about having fun, not subjugating yourself to the whims of the party :)

The same should be said for any game. Play what you want. If the party has no front-line fighter or rogue, or healer, or 'face' the party will have to make do with what they have. Go ahead and let the abrasive, loud-mouthed Halfling wrestler be the party face, what's the worst that could happen??

If we really need to, I could have K'Vairn multiclass into cleric (we all know I love playing clerics). If we have a non-healer type join the group, perhaps Bill would be super-kind and allow me to ret-con our last leveling up as K'Vairn's first level of cleric so we have healing? Maybe? Cleric/bard of Shelyn actually works really well...he says with no experience in it, but I'm sure I'm right!
