Enchanted Realms PFS, 22 Nov 2017

Post by Sir.Gryphon » Thu Nov 16, 2017 6:49 am

[shadow=brown,left]Hail and Well Met Pathfinders![/shadow]

During this week of Thanksgiving please take a moment to be thankful for all of the good things in your life: friends, family, your local Venture officers, treasure, and of course, ADVENTURE! This week we are changing things up (again), the Bonekeep group is taking a short break and our experienced Pathfinders get an opportunity to shine. It should be a good time!

This week I will be out of town so O.J. will be collecting the reporting sheets and submitting that information to Paizo. On that note, please check your Paizo account to be sure that your characters are reported correctly. Recent changes to the site have made it difficult to report events at times so some sessions may not be reported correctly. Also, some folks could use penmanship lessons from Austin because your 4's and 9's are starting to look the same and miraculously some of you can make a 2 look like either a 3 or 5 and vicea versa, and don't get me started on 6s vs 0s...

Lets have fun and GAME ON!

Just as a reminder:
  • Games start at 6pm and end at 10pm. Let's be respectful of our hosts and try to end on time!
  • Please make sure that your real name (or at least whatever you'd like me to call you on the schedule) is listed in your post
  • Sign up as soon as possible, you can always cancel if you need to
  • Any sign ups on the day of the game (Wednesday) may not get a slot at the table, but do show up. We will always try to fit you in to a game!
  • GMs: if you need to cancel, let me know ASAP so I can find a replacement!
  • If you want a game scheduled, please ask!
  • We follow the D11 closure and early release schedule. During bad weather, check local closure reports.
Explore, Cooperate, and Report!

03-19 The Icebound Outpost Tier 1-5 GM: Micheal
The Pathfinder Society discovers an Aspis Consortium base in an ancient Vudran temple now encased in a glacier and sends the PCs to infiltrate it and investigate the extent of the rival organization's regional operations. Can the PCs get in the well-guarded Aspis outpost and escape with their lives and the information the Society seeks?

Player 3: Hillary?

07-15 The Deepmarket Deception Tier 3-7 GM: Hjal
When the Pathfinder Society claimed the Hao Jin Tapestry in Tian Xia, it seemed as though the Aspis Consortium's influence there had ended. An anonymous informant recently identified an Aspis resurgence in Goka's Deepmarket, and Venture-Captain Amara Li hopes that a small, well-trained team can ferret out the villains and prevent any greater atrocities. Can the PCs traverse the Deepmarket's treacherous politics and tunnels and neutralize the Consortium's local ringleader?

08-04 Wardens of Sulfur Gulch Tier 7-11 GM: Hjal
Among the earliest Pathfinders was the Gojan the Sharp, famed for his studies of the technology-strewn wasteland of Numeria before he disappeared forever into the infamous Silver Mount. The Pathfinder Society has uncovered a forgotten cache of Gojan's Numerian journals identifying sites unknown even to the local barbarian chieftains. The time is right to unearth a pristine piece of alien technology! However, Pathfinders should remember that for every untouched marvel that remains, an unblinking sentry may lie in wait.

Player 5: Deana

NEW 04-04 King of the Storval Stairs Tier 7-11 GM: Nadia
The PCs are sent to map the Storval Stairs and ensure the stairs provide a safe route to the Storval Rise from Magnimar, but upon their arrival, they find the ancient site claimed and 'ruled' by the self-proclaimed King of the Storval Stairs. Only through guile, diplomacy, or cold steel will the Pathfinders ensure access to iconic Thassilonian location.

2 level 10 characters so far, so probably 10-11. Unless 4 more people show up with level 7s... :)

Please sign Tim and Tristan up for Storval Stairs. My son has a 7 and I have an 8 or 11. If my math is correct this would put us at low tier with my 8 or an APL of 9 with my 11(9.167 rounded to 9). Due to the lethal rep of this scenario I'd probably opt for playing down.

So if I got right the following:
10 + 10 + 9 + 8 + 7 + 8 = 52 APL = 8.6 rounds to 9
10 + 10 + 9 + 8 + 7 + 11 = 55 APL = 9.1 rounds to 9

Either way as stated on page 11 of the guide you will have to play up with the 4 player adjustment. If you could drop the total party level to 51 (APL 8.5) you can play down. Total Party level with 51 is 8.5 APL. When it is a .5 players choose to round up or down.
Quote from the Guide:
If the result of the Average Party Level calculation ends with 0.5, the players should decide whether to round up or down.

Quote from the Guide:
Starting with Season 4, scenarios were designed for six characters and contained methods to adjust for tables with four players. When the APL of a table is between two subtiers (like APL 3 for a Tier 1-5 scenario), a party of four characters must play the lower tier without any adjustments for party size. A party of five to seven characters whose APL falls between two subtiers must play the higher tier with the four-character adjustments found throughout the scenario.

Randy, Bill, Richard,

If you don't mind I can be 10 -15 minutes and Hillary will be able to join. Also if you 3 are cool with it, would y'all be down for playing a higher level scenario.

David,
Why are you abandoning the core group, even though we aren't playing core characters?

Hillary just found out tonight she had a schedule change and can show up but will be late.
Micheal Smith
