Enchanted Realms GM call: April 2017

Post by Sir.Gryphon » Sun Mar 26, 2017 4:46 pm

How does the old saying go?  "April showers bring MORE ADVENTURE!" wait, that's not right... but we will have free boons to give away all month long!!  Anyway, let's get down too it.

I will be giving out GM boons to the first eight GMs who run in April and each table that goes off will have an opportunity to "roll a critical" for a random special player boon from the regional support program.  Hey, they may not be spring flowers, but they should last a lot longer :P

I focused a little more on lower level offerings with a few mid level adventures and only one high tier table.  Let's see if this lets more people play and lets more GMs get their table to go off :D

Due to the late nature of this post, if there is a GM signed up then I will let players sign up for that game.  When a GM is assigned, the title of the scenario will go from red to black.  If a game is full, the title will be underlined. And of course, if any one would like to see a scenario moved to a different week, just let me know and I can try to swap it with the same tier table... unless they are a multi-part adventure... that gets a little more tricky.

07-10 The Consortium Compact Tier 1-2 GM Randy
The Aspis Consortium pays well, but few can stand its underhanded tactics for long. One operative fed up with the Consortium's practices has contacted the Pathfinder Society with a tempting offer: assist her in leaving the organization, and she will supply the Society with years of insider intelligence about their longstanding rival. It's up to the PCs to navigate Diobel-a proud town run by cutthroat smugglers-earn the defector's trust, and deal a telling blow to their Aspis foes.  "The Consortium Compact" is an evergreen, replayable scenario designed to help introduce players to the Pathfinder Society, the Isle of Kortos, and one of the Society's longstanding rivals.

05-11 Library of the Lion Tier 1-5 GM: Richard
Few societies have so vaunted a tradition of leading crusades as Taldor, yet the constant revisions to its history by scheming factions leaves the truth obscured by countless acts of political modifications. Even the lauded Kitharodian Academy's texts are riddled with these changes, so when a secretive ally approaches the Pathfinder Society with information about a hidden archive that contains the unaltered histories, the Pathfinders plan a daring infiltration to recover the secrets of Taldor's past victories so that Mendev might benefit from the discovery.

06-15 The Overflow Archives Tier 1-5 GM: OJ
Beneath the Grand Lodge of Absalom lie the vaults, a series of storerooms and libraries that contain much of the Society's findings from the past centuries. Cataloguing the sundry relics and texts takes time, and finds requiring closer study find their way to an extensive vault called the Overflow Archives. Soon after a pair of initiates sneaks into the archive and steals a few items on a dare, the complex inexplicably springs a leak. It is up to the PCs to investigate this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it before thousands of priceless documents are ruined forever.

Mighty Lung Wa once controlled much of Tian Xia, but the empire crumbled a century ago. Three Successor States have squabbled for dominance ever since, each insisting that it alone is the rightful inheritor of Lung Wa's glory. In the shadow of these mighty nations, the humble land of Shokuro has sought the means to discourage its neighbors' territorial ambitions and earn their respect. When a retired hero learns of a lost, legendary palace that might protect relics of the old empire, she calls on the Pathfinder Society for assistance finding the fabled site. The PCs must travel to each of the Successor States in search of clues to uncover the palace and the treasures within.

Module The Dragon's Demand **CORE** Tier 1-7 GM Bill *Starts early*
Founded by a famous dragonslayer, the small town of Belhaim has become a sleepy rural community just off the beaten path, a settlement where everyone knows everyone and strangers are the talk of the town. But when Belhaim's peace and quiet is shattered by the sudden collapse of the last standing tower of its founder's castle, things quickly bloom out of control. Why were there bodies of kobolds amid the rubble? What's the sinister secret behind the strange sounds of flapping wings in the night? And what's happened to local wizard Balthus Hunclay, who's not answering knocks on his door? The collapsed tower had long been an eyesore to the cantankerous old man-could he have had something to do with its destruction? And what of the rumors of strange stirrings in nearby Dragonfen? Has Belhaim's ancient draconic nemesis returned?

I've still never played  consortium compact.  If you're putting more evergreens on the menu to cater to all the low level action, I'd like to see that one.

I haven't seen anyone else post from the Bonekeep group.  If no one responds to my suggestion, I'm thinking to go ahead and put on Dragon's Demand part 2 for the first couple of weeks in April.  (I'm not sure if I can get it done in one sitting.)  But that will at least take up one slot that someone else won't need to try to prepare for in a short amount of time.

If possible, I've been wanting to finish up playing Rats of Round Mountain. Did the first part, been wanting to do the second.
To every land I've seen, to all people I've met, to every swing of a sword, to every life I've taken and all those I've blessed, all done in search of an answer that I don't want to know.

With the weather system that is moving through tomorrow there is a possibility that Enchanted Realms may be closed.  If that happens I will reschedule all of the games for 29 March to 5 April instead... Let's hope the weather prognosticators are over reacting again!

Also, is there interest in playing/running Thornkeep modules?  I know we had a request some time ago, but I am not sure there is still any interest.

Thanks for that, but I realized after I posted the first draft that I put in the Confirmation instead of the Consortium Compact (they are adjacent on my tracker).  I will slip the three-part adventure a week and move the last part to the first Wednesday of May.  Sound good?

We will only run the PFS sanctioned parts and each part is considered a module (6-8 hours) so it could take a little while.  Or you could be like the core group and race through one in 4 hours, lol.

I will look at throwing in the first Thornkeep in starting in May.

Since Richard is in the Bonekeep group, do you want to switch around either Dragon's Demand or Library of the Lion so that they aren't happening at the same time?

If you switch around Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible with Dragon's Demand, I'll DM both.  :)

I can run the third part of Destiny of the Sands since I ran the first 2 for the core group. If you switch out library of the lion to the first week I will play Dragons Demand. Not sure what to do the last of the month. Will need to see whether the module will put my core toon. That might put me to high, but If it's run non core I'll either run it or play it.

I would like to sign up to run 5-06 - you have what you hold. What ever is being planned for bonekeep can we go ahead and add everyone to that scenario. So that we know what is what? I know a month or two ago we weren't sure what was founding on. Micheal

Hillary would like to run the 5-04 The stolen Heir
